Monese partnered with Bespoke Events Management to create a private summer festival for 85 colleagues in the Surrey countryside. Rather than a traditional company away day, Monese wanted to give its team the chance to escape the everyday working environment and spend meaningful time together. With overnight glamping, activities, food and live entertainment all part of the experience, the festival was designed to feel like a genuine summer getaway created exclusively for the team.
The festival needed to keep the team engaged from arrival through to the following morning, while avoiding an itinerary that felt overly structured.
With 85 guests staying on site, the experience also needed to work as both a team event and an overnight retreat. Activities, accommodation, hospitality and entertainment all had to come together seamlessly, while giving guests enough freedom to decide how they wanted to enjoy the festival.
We created a private festival village in the Surrey countryside, complete with tipis and bell-tent glamping, giving Monese its own space to connect, compete and celebrate.
Team challenges brought colleagues together during the day before the programme gradually shifted towards food, drinks and entertainment. Karaoke, live music and DJs kept the energy building into the evening, with a silent disco allowing the celebrations to continue later into the night.
By combining organised experiences with plenty of informal social time, the programme gave the team structure without making every moment feel scheduled.
Guests could throw themselves into team challenges, relax around the festival village, enjoy food and drinks together and then spend the evening moving between live music, karaoke, DJs and the silent disco before staying overnight in the glamping village.
The overnight format meant there was no rush to end the celebration or return to the city, giving colleagues the freedom to properly switch off and enjoy being together.
For Monese, the festival created a shared experience outside the usual working environment, bringing 85 colleagues together for a summer celebration that felt less like a corporate event and much more like having their own private festival.
