Octopus Electric Vehicles partnered with Bespoke Events Management to bring 500 colleagues together for a flagship summer team experience at Squerryes Court. For a business with a distinctive culture and a large team, the day needed to feel unmistakably OEV. It was an opportunity to bring employees together around the companyโs brand, values and energy, while giving colleagues genuine time to connect outside their everyday working environment.
Large company events can easily become one-size-fits-all. With 500 people attending, OEV wanted an experience that created a real sense of togetherness without expecting every guest to enjoy the same thing.
The challenge was to combine important company moments with enough variety and freedom for people to shape their own day. Talks and EV experiences needed to sit naturally alongside wellbeing, creative activities, games, food and entertainment, all while maintaining a strong sense of OEV culture across the event.
We transformed the grounds of Squerryes Court into a multi-zone OEV festival, giving the team a shared event with multiple ways to experience it.
The day began by bringing everyone together for a central company session before opening into talks, EV test drives, creative workshops, games and different spaces to explore. Guests could choose what interested them, reconnect with colleagues and move through the day at their own pace.
Behind the scenes, Bespoke brought the different elements together through the planning, production, suppliers, logistics and on-site delivery, ensuring that a complex event for 500 people still felt relaxed and effortless for the team.
Throughout the day, colleagues could move between EV experiences, workshops, activities, food and social spaces before everyone came back together as the event transitioned into live music and an evening celebration.
The result was more than a summer party. It gave OEV a platform to bring its culture to life at scale, combining company content with choice, shared experiences and celebration.
For 500 colleagues, that meant being part of one OEV event without everyone having to experience it in exactly the same way. For the business, it created a day where people could reconnect with the company, with its culture and, most importantly, with each other.
