Regency Grove partnered with Bespoke Events Management to mark its 5th anniversary, bringing 30 guests together for a countryside retreat at Elmley Nature Reserve in Kent. Rather than celebrating with a traditional company party in London, the team wanted to step away from the city and spend meaningful time together somewhere completely different, combining celebration, shared experiences and the freedom to enjoy the surroundings.
A company anniversary is an opportunity to recognise what a team has achieved together, so the experience needed to feel worthy of the milestone while still reflecting Regency Grove’s relaxed approach.
The programme needed enough activity to create memorable shared moments, but also space for guests to slow down, enjoy good food and simply spend time together. The setting itself needed to feel like part of the experience rather than just a venue.
We built the retreat around the character of Elmley Nature Reserve, using the countryside to shape a programme that balanced playful competition, sustainability, seasonal dining and relaxed hospitality.
Bespoke Elmley Olympics brought the team together for challenges including tractor tyre flipping, tug-of-war and the sea wall dash, while a tree planting experience gave the group the opportunity to leave something behind as part of the anniversary. Free time was deliberately built into the programme before guests came together again for drinks, dinner and an evening around the fire.
Guests swapped the city for wide-open landscapes, team challenges and time together in one of Kent’s most distinctive natural settings.
The day moved from energetic competition and tree planting into seasonal food, relaxed drinks and an evening around the firepit, giving the celebration a natural rhythm rather than a packed itinerary.
The result was a 5th anniversary that felt personal to the team and the milestone they were celebrating, creating shared memories while giving colleagues the rare opportunity to step away from work and enjoy what they had achieved together.
